Here is my suggestion for a new “mantra” for Eastlake Football Club ( to be used by the cheer girls ) —

Eastlake ! Eastlake ! Rah ! Rah ! Rah !

Eastlake ! Eastlake! Ha ! Ha ! Ha !

Eastlake ! Eastlake ! Go! Go! Go !

Eastlake ! Eastlake ! Ho ! Ho ! Ho !

He probably lives in Canberra !

Canberra_unsung_hero11:37 pm 04 May 05

Gotcha !

All attributed quotes in the byline are real, the unattributed statements are ours.

The Peter O’Sullivan one is explained here.

I’m unaware of whatever other credentials he may have.

I think his whinning load of nonsense comment was a winning load of nonsense!!

Canberra_unsung_hero4:51 pm 04 May 05

I see ….. does that mean we take him seriously on the “whining load of nonsense” comment ?

Peter O’Sullivan is popular author of childrens books from New-Istanbul in Krygerkizstan. He also critiques canberra forums and blogs in his spare time…. a very important person

By the way …. does anynoe know who Peter O’Sullivan is ? — He claims that this site is a “whining load of nonsense”….

Canberra_unsung_hero10:49 am 04 May 05

Ha, ha …. I guess the Public Service ain’t what it used to be !

Canberra_unsung_hero9:26 am 04 May 05

Well, I’ll be at Cazaly’s Bistro at Eastlake today for my $6.50 lunch ….if you got time, drop in, cos Parkes is just down the road.

Canberra_unsung_hero9:13 am 04 May 05

Lol…. if I don’t designate myself as an “unsung hero”, nobody else will ! (it’s just a tongue-in-cheek tag ).

Canberra_unsung_hero8:53 am 04 May 05

How much is the lunchtime “special” at Belconnen, Thumper ? (it used to be $5 at Eastlake, but recently put it up to $6.50).

Canberra_unsung_hero8:36 am 04 May 05

Yep…there’s no shortage of whingers around…that’s for sure !

Right. Good to hear someone is easily pleased.

Canberra_unsung_hero12:08 am 04 May 05

The bottom line is that I’m not really interested in the football team …….it’s just that the Club(at Kingston) put on a really great Chicken Schnitzel (at lunchtime )with chips and vegetables for only $6.50 …..is all.

Canberra_unsung_hero5:14 pm 03 May 05

Hmmmm……that sounds similar to the proposed Eastlake mantra …. ha, ha.

anyone know what this is about? or does someone just really like Eastlake football club?

This may explain it in more detail —
