Chief Minister Gallagher has announced the launch of an exciting sounding Skyra 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine.

“This $2.4 million dollar purchase is an investment in the people of Canberra and surrounding region and brings with it many benefits including enhanced breast imaging and screening; improved and non invasive prostate screening; greater patient comfort and reduced waiting times – meaning better patient access,” the Chief Minister said.

“In purchasing and installing this machine, Canberra Imaging Group are helping to accommodate the needs of the broader community and providing patients with an even greater choice for their health needs.

In some cases cost savings for many GP and Specialist referred patients will also be available through partial Medicare eligibility for a range of clinical criteria.
