Waterford’s (the band) Pete Huet has posted this to facebook and given us permission to use it with this note:

‘But I was well loved,’ I thought,
staring at the sky through autumn leaves.
Before admitting to myself
that, of course, the bogans I considered family
would one day leave me to this fate.

You could cut the poignance with a picnic knife. Love ya work Pete.

Shame, i would have thought that the bogans would have realized that Teddy bears like that type are worth good money.

Oh dear….what a ‘grizzly’ fate. I do hope someone rescued him 🙁

On a side note, I believe the ACT government has cancelled the annual Canberra Teddy Bears Picnic, a real shame for the kiddies (big and small). You’d hope that they could find some money to put it back on – it’s such a fun idea and very popular with the littlies.

Poetix – Go Teddy on the puns there. It’s Saturday evening, some of us are feeling a bit stuffed or down in the dumps after a hard day off.
