The ACAT is reporting that one, Subhangi Chakravarty (http://www.acat.act.gov.au/judgment/view/4848/title/chakravarty-commissioner-for-act) has been busted for cheating on the FHOG and concessional stamp duty. Chakravarty had already moved to Melbourne when the FHOG application was lodged, and never moved into the property.
When she was busted, she appealed several time, and ACAT has now settled in favour of the ACT Government.
One hopes that the Commissioner for Revenue continues to track down all these cheats, and makes sure that full penalties and interest is charged.
