The ACT Children’s Plan 2004-2014 has been updated and relaunched as the ACT Children’s Plan 2010-2014.
(You can read the plan here). The Children’s Plan is all about what Canberra needs to do to be a child-friendly city.

A big chunk in the middle of the report, with lots of “Key Actions” listed, is just a re-publish of the previous version of the plan. Some of those Key Actions have already been completed. So while it may look like the ACT Government is planning on doing lots of work in the next four years, be aware that quite a lot of the work has already been completed. There is also nothing in the report that gives me confidence that they will do any more work towards completing the Key Actions.

There’s no disincentive for failing to follow through on the Plan.

Would be interested to know what you think.

Oops, ignore what I said above. I forgot to read the 6pt ant writing telling me it was from 2009. My bad.

The new Questions for Children PDF file has a 2009 date at the bottom of it.

Lots of motherhood statements. My favourite part is footnote 10.
