The ACT Labor website has been down for maintenance for some weeks now.

While parties in Government don’t need to use their own website a great deal one still wonders if they have no need to communicate with the online public at all?

Here it is 10 July and the site is still down. How hard can it be Elias? Anyone relying on the site to access Party Platform and local rules before the upcoming Branch conference is going to be very disappointed. Or is that thwarted?

This is reflecting a certain lack of capability to get things done rather than talked about. That has become a familiar look during the Rudd years and appears to be catching. This is what happens when factional membership rather than genuine ability becomes the chief selection criterion for any job working with (or should that be for?) elected representatives.

G’day JohnBoy,

Thanks very much for the free publicity.

We are working on adding a few extra social[ist] media tools and better [mis]information about the ALP[CCCP] to the website. It will be ready[Redder] soon and I’m sure you’ll agree it will be an [Even more Invasive]improvement on the old site[Soviet Regime].

In the meantime if any of your [credulous] readers would like to get the latest news about Canberra Labor they can follow us on Twitter at @Canberra_Labor [Green Left Weekly]

Best Regards [luchshii? vosstaniya],

[Comrade] Elias Hallaj
A very proud Macgregor [Moscow] resident,
(who also happens to be the local ALP[CCCP] Secretary)

p.s. I’ve noticed that as well as the RiotACT making the recent jump to Twitter, the Canberra [Ministry of Misinformation] Times is also investing[redistributing you income] more in their on-line presence. I’m looking forward to more local on-line news[‘news’] and dialogue[diatribe].

GOLD!

It seems you’ve mistaken the Labor party for a left wing organisation.

Cant wait to see the new website! It needed a bit of a remodel. Hope it is up and running soon 🙂

So they take down the site for “some weeks” while they sort it? Never heard of off-line development and testing?
