Senator Humphries is in high dudgeon about a lack of funding for ACT projects in Round 1 of Regional Development Australia Funding.

“Every other state and territory has received funding under these grants. Even Geelong Football Club received a $10 million grant for a stadium upgrade.

“If the Gillard Government couldn’t find one project in the ACT worth funding, it obviously didn’t want to find one.

“Simon Crean is no friend of Canberra. The Gillard Government must explain why it has overlooked the ACT in this round of grants.

“This is shameless disregard for the nation’s capital,” Senator Humphries concluded.

Regional Development Australia Funding….
They saw how much money the ACT Govt wasted on “art” [sic] installations, coming to conclusion that Canberra does not need the money.
One day, perhaps, they will upgrade Canberra Statium to hold more people, and we can, at last, host a Big Day out here. 🙂
