ACT Policing releases Civic nightclub assault video to identify suspect

ACT Policing has released the CCTV footage of an assault that occurred at the 88MPH nightclub in Civic at about 2:10 am on Sunday, 23 February.

The video shows a man head-butting and punching another man in front of numerous onlookers.

Police say the alleged offender then left the nightclub in the direction of the Melbourne Building in the company of two other men.

The alleged offender is described as being approximately 180 cm (5’11”) tall. He was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans at the time.

Anyone who can identify the alleged offender from the CCTV footage, or who witnessed the assault and who has not yet spoken to police, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.

Why is it that venues with cctv don’t do the odd upgrade to obtain better picture quality.
My 2010 vehicle reversing picture is better than this nightclub one (but then it is a Ford so one would only expect it to be of the best ).
