ACT records 1,044 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths including man in his 40s

The ACT has recorded 1,044 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 657 identified by PCR and 387 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT). ACT Health has also been notified of three deaths, a man in his 40s, a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s with COVID-19.

There are now 145 people in hospital, including 2 in intensive care and 0 being ventilated.

Since the pandemic began, 184,153 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

Of the population aged between 5 and 15 years, 77.6 per cent of residents have received two doses. 77.2 per cent of the ACT’s 16-plus population has received three doses and 42.7 per cent of the Territory’s population aged over 50 has received four shots.

Interstate, NSW has reported 41 deaths overnight and 14,953 new cases of COVID-19.

Victoria has reported 44 deaths overnight and 10,812 new cases of COVID-19.

And still no clear direction to ACT based federal departments to ask & let employees work from home if they can. ACT Health keeps saying talk to your GP or employer. Fed Dpts say are following the current ACT Health advice (no official clear advice for working from home exists). That is what taking personal responsibility means (= you are on your own).
