Chief Minister Gallagher has announced the launch of the Regional Development Australia (RDA) ACT Regional Strategic Plan.
“It identifies five priorities or pillars for regional development, including a resilient and diverse economy, an exemplar in environmental sustainability, education and opportunity, a connected Canberra, and empowered communities.
“Many of the plan’s priority areas reflect the priorities for my Government in 2011-12 and support the seven themes of the Canberra Plan: Towards our Second Century.
“I hope through initiatives to support the Government priorities that we can contribute to the Strategic Plan’s vision and the Plan can aid in the Government’s understanding of issues facing our region.
As yet we’re unable to identify anything concrete beyond motherhood statements. The website (ignore the CM’s incorrect link) hasn’t got the plan up, but we have requested a copy and will update.
