Narrabri Fire (Mt Kaputar/Kerringle) 9.00am Update Monday 4/12/06
NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers along with crews from the ACT Rural Fire Service, Queensland Fire and Rescue Service and National Parks will continue to work on a number of fires in the Narrabri region.

The fires in the Narrabri area have burnt over 14,000ha.

The boys in my brigade made it safely back on the weekend with no casualties!

A shame – Mt Kaputar is a gorgeous area. From the top (above the snow gums) you can see 360 degrees and a full 11% of NSW. And the formations are arguably better (and far less trafficked) than the Warrambungles…
