Be you ever so nutty ACTEW wants to hear from you this week.

They’re finalising their consultation on the Cotter Dam expansion this week and calling for everyone to come forward and have their say. If only because it will save trouble later to get maximum exposure for the issue now.

Submissions can to be made in writing directly to ACTPLA at PO Box 365, Mitchell ACT 2911 or via email to app.sec@act.gov.au .

But if putting cogent thoughts to paper or screen is a bit much then you can just wander down to community information sessions this week to mutter in the corner and heckle the speakers:

    • Tuesday 21 July 09, 11.30am – 2.30pm – Canberra Museum and Gallery, Cnr London Circuit and Civic Square, Canberra City
    • Wednesday 22 July 09, 9am – 12 noon – Tuggeranong Community Centre, 245 Cowlishaw Street, Greenway ACT 2600
    • Wednesday 22 July 09, 5.00pm – 7.30pm – The Weston Club, 1 Liardet St, Weston

This is where someone should write a letter to the editor so Andrew Barr can call the development in.

What is the work being done above the Cotter Pump House? Part of the dam already?

Taking water out of the Murray-Darling basin.

Consultation is important, but I’m also looking forward to it being built as soon as possible.

Building this dam will force up the cost of labour hence the cost or mosques, or vice versa.

Just as long as they don’t build a mosque as well
