Territory And Municipal Services have announced that the ACT Government’s ongoing love of the vacuity of Twitter continues apace with the launch of an ACTION twitter account.
“The site will allow ACTION to communicate instantly and directly with the public, particularly the growing number of people who use smartphones,” Mr Roncon said.
“ACTION’s Twitter site will provide information on major service disruptions, changes to routes and timetables, event-related transport information, new bus-related infrastructure such as new bike lockers and consultation opportunities relating to ACTION.
“The site will focus on informing the community of major changes, such as road closures, that might impact on their bus services. While it will not be possible to send a tweet about every bus that might be running a couple of minutes late, it is another step ACTION is taking to improve its information to the public.
A website properly setup with an RSS feed could be dumping into all possible social media, but would be far less modish.
