Thanks to the eagle eyed Mothy for spotting this one:

Blink and you’d have missed it, but see attached.

Wow. That’s one interesting spelling error, even by @ACTPol_Traffic standards.

Ok, I’ll be ‘that’ person…

I didn’t think it was funny. 165 sheep died.

Indeed, though I heard 50, but still not so funny. Even if they were on the way to slaughter, I’d like to think their intended means of death would have been a little less traumatic.

Interesting how so many people will crack a joke about something as nasty as this, but then bleat about some typical first world non-problem as soon as it actually involves them.

Oh you poor dear.

Good to see ACTPol taking a more flexible approach to language in their media activities. Hopefully the next change will be the dumping of their stupid and frustrating habit of referring to suicide as “no suspicious circumstances”, but I suppose you have to be a British nurse before the cops (and media) stop obfuscating and call a spade a spade.

I’ll get in for my chop, and next the tweeter will be trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

They’ll be lambasted for dropping that joke in there. They’ll probably try to say it was a typo, but they can’t pull the wool over our eyes and will probably end up feeling sheepish.

Sorry. I’m done now.

That’s mint (sauce)…

It’s bad enough that their grammar,at times, has been baaad but now they’re resorting to baaad puns in tweets.I wonder whether they’ll be feeling a bit sheepish when they get a serve from above?

There was another tweet about sheep being “bleating everywhere”.
Then yesterday was “cycle v car” – not exactly something to be lighthearted about.
Humour is good in government social media. But not where there are tragic or potentially tragic events.

agree. While it’s good to see ACT Pol make jokes, it’s kind-of hard to be amused when you’re visualising broken and terrified sheep who had no say in being in that truck. I hope they throw the book at the driver, he wasn’t just transporting boxes or furniture.

Well guess what, threepaws, it IS funny. So dinner was ready a little early yesterday, no biggie. They were walking lamb chops and nothing more. Nice to see the plod having a little fun. Chill out dude…

The way animals are transported in one of the major reasons I’m a vegetarian. I suppose I should feel free to make jokes, given I have no part in this process. But this must have been a terrifying event for sentient beings.

No doubt someone will say my thinking is a little woolly.

Haha incredible

Oh, and I mean the tweet was funny (using a broad definition of the term), not the prang.

I like it. It was just too big an opportunity for some one.

I would think the civvies are responsible for updating the Twitter which might explain the rare display of humour.

It was surely deliberate, and a welcome change from the plod persona we usually get in the media. Also, perhaps, a sign that there are fringe benefits in having tertiary educated cops – particularly if they are partial to George Thorogood.
