RiotACT’s favourite paintball place, Adventure Paintball, is celebrating the ACT Government assisting us with our recent tournament. In honour of this noteworthy (unprecedented?) event, AP is offering half price paintball packages all weekend. Thats $20 for 200 paintballs at our conveniently located fields in Tuggeranong. Bookings essential. Ring 0419 267792.

‘And Benno1 can confirm, Predator quite often borrows my equipment…so you might have been using my gear already!!!’

And you also borrow ours when needed. Thats just the way fields help each other out.
Predator has recently purchased heaps of new markers (50 odd)and we now also have a brand new SUP-AIR tournament field!!!!

Predator might be a fair way out, but we strive to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Heaps of different scenario’s and fields (were about to build another rec scenario field) and we are also home to UPRISING, ACT’s longest established tourney team.

I dont think anyone could take anything away from any of the fields in Canberra, as they all offer their own individual experiences, and at the end of the day, we all work for the same thing – to promote paintball and provide a great day for the recreational player.

Congratulations on the work you have been doing in relation to the ACT laws on ownership of paintball markers Kieran!

Thanks Kieran, I might do that.

Obviously my comments will be biased however;
Question 1:I had heard that AP was by the old fairbairn people? Is that the case Kieran?

Answer:No, I am totally new operator of an old Business. AP has been around for over 10 years! I have owned it for the last 18 months, relocated it to the Hwy and built totally new fields.
The fields are designed by possibly the best paintballer in town (HenryG)…and we constantly look at improvements.

Question 2: Can you convince me (and anyone else with any doubts… though it’s unlikely there are any others since AP seems to be pretty popular here at RA) that AP has its act together when it comes to good courses and good equipment?

Answer: I have built new fields and am constantly upgrading the existing fields and building new ones as above. As you are close (Conder) feel free to drop in over the weekend some time rather than rely on any biased observations….
As for equipment,I run competitions every few weeks using my own equipment. In order to have every bit of kit reliable for the high utilisation of tourneys ( most markers go through over a box- 2000 balls), I either replace or service/rebuild every single marker before each tourney. I currently have 30 markers that are less than 6 months old and have rebuilt the older ones. I also replace/repair/upgrade masks etc regularly. Not many fields would have that % of new equipment.

And Benno1 can confirm, Predator quite often borrows my equipment…so you might have been using my gear already!!!

Feel free to drop in and confirm for yourself! Kieran

I’ve played at all 3 sites and am more than happy with Adventure Paintball
they’ve got decent fields at the moment, not as many as the others but its still early days and your unlikely to break a leg
and they’re looking to build more more fields
plus they are much closer and cheaper

I havn’t play at either venue but I am guessing that there will be no comparison provided on RA as AP provides beer for comment!! [scroll down]

I’ve been to paintball at Fairbairn and found it to be a lot of fun. Have only been to one other place a long time ago so don’t know about comparisons with other fields but there was no problem with the equipment and the team out there are friendly.

I’ve paintballed plenty of times, but only at Predator outside of Michelago, and once out at Fairbairn. My experience at fairbairn was poor, I found the equipment to be shoddy and the courses were… unimaginative.

I had heard that AP was by the old fairbairn people? Is that the case Kieran?

In either case, I’m a huge fan of the way Predator is set up, the people, the equipment, the courses etc etc. Their only problem is the location – but I’d happily drive to Michelago to take advantage of a superior product.

Can you convince me (and anyone else with any doubts… though it’s unlikely there are any others since AP seems to be pretty popular here at RA) that AP has its act together when it comes to good courses and good equipment? If so, I guess I’ll stop spending the time and fuel on Predator as I live in Conder and AP is kinda… well… 2 minutes away.
