After grasshoppers, then flood!

By Thumper - 17 January 2006 12

Last night it rained a bit and lots of houses and stuff got flooded. The SES were out till all hours fixing it. A good effort by the orange people and any others involved.

Now is probably a good time to remind people to make sure their drains and gutters are clear and that roof tiles are in good condition. If you want some tips about how to fix roof tiles easily then email me.

Sorry for the short excerpt but I’m knackered.

CT article here.

No, I was too tired, that last job that you didn’t go on took us through till 2am.

That and a day’s work, I was asleep by 8 last night, after barely being able to keep my eyes open for Dr Who.

Does that mean that all the McDonald’s are going to spontaneously combust all over the country?

Hang on there is a pattern emerging here… drought, pestilence (a plague of grasshoppers), flood… all we need now is famine and war and the pattern will virtually complete (spooky!)

PS, You da man Thumpas!!

The first step to fixing roof tiles is going to revolve or Aussie Junk and getting some cheap spares to keep under the house. If you can get the same colour, so much the better.

Replacing them is a peice of piss.

As a Canberra resident, I thank you Thumper. I’ve never needed the SES personally, but am bloody glad to know they are there if I do. Get some sleep.
