Airport road disgrace

What’s the story with Canberra (international) Airport’s cobblestone (brick) loop road for dropping off passengers.

It’s been bad for a while, but on my last trip, some of the road surface was in such a mess, a puncture wasn’t out of the question.

Anyone else consider it’s in need of some repair work?

Paved roads I can take or leave, but the paved pedestrian areas make me wonder.

Sure, the look nice, but these days every man and his dog rolls his luggage around on hard little wheels and the noise on those pavers is rediculous.

Snow’s probably planning to offer a concession… rather than those shoe-shine setups you see at US airports, there’ll be a kid set up at departures who can fix the broken wheels on your wheelie bag. He’ll be advertising a tender round any day now.

A puncture? Really? Are you always prone to this sort of exaggeration?

A $10 toll on each car using it should sort things out in a few years.

Its been crap for a very long time. It is a wonder Snow hasn’t asked the Government to fix it. Though will give them the benefit of the doubt and will wait until the construction is finished to see if they repair it.

Is that the road up that ramp? Pretty-well brand new. So Snow isn’t immune from being done over by crummy contractors either.
