I think locking your car is taking responsibility for your items.

Fecking bastards broke into my car and stole my service log and owner’s manual. In previous vehicles I’ve owned, fecking bastards have broken in and tried to prise out the analog clock of a ’77 Toyota. I don’t care for white trash junkies.

Cerberus for Android does this, it also can track by GPS, delete all contents on the phone, display a message, play a loud alarm tone and more. Possibly it wasn’t just the photo of the guy.

I’m not really surprised about this. Chifley is the Charnwood of Woden. You only have to drive up Macfarland Cres from Eggleston Cres to see this. The houses on the Chifley side are all ramshackle and dishevelled with overgrown grass. One house has had an old building crane in the front yard for over 30 years and it is occasionally joined by various derelict cars. As soon as you drive over the hill into Pearce the houses are all neat, well maintained and classy looking. I’m not surprised to hear that this mobile phone thief lives in Chifley.

Well, given that the only information you get is a photo of the thief, and following on from that the Police were able to head straight to his home, I’m guessing he was ‘known to Police’ already. Assuming that it was the photo that led to him being identified that is.

Not sure how useful this would be if your thief was someone you didn’t already know, or the Police didn’t immediately recognise.
