ACT Policing has arrested a 42-year-old Curtin man after a search warrant was executed on a Curtin house. The warrant is in relation to the ongoing investigation surrounding the armed robberies at the Commonwealth Bank in Fyshwick and the Community CPS Credit Union in Manuka on Wednesday (21 September).
Around 7am, members of ACT Policing Criminal Investigations and Specialist Response and Security attended the house to execute the warrant.
Police negotiated with the male resident, who exited the house without incident, and was taken into custody.
During the search of the house, police located and seized items believed to be connected with the robberies.
The man was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and is expected to be charged later this date with the aggravated robberies committed on the Commonwealth Bank and the CPS Credit Union.
