This saturday I’ll be performing three hours worth of original material at the george harcourt inn, from 3 to 6pm. The george harcourt is apparently a quite cosy little place right near cockington green (where all the little people live) in nichols. I haven’t been there since i was in nappies, so i can’t remember much about it, but if anybody has anything good to say about it, post a comment below and help me draw a crowd.

Oh yeah, I’ve been told it’s st patricks day on saturday, so come and beat up a snake or two whilst i sing about sex and anarchy (that is that what st patrick’s day is about yeah?).

Hey Tom, where can we get hold of your new CD?

Would that be Cafe Injoy? (And yes, it’s quite good indeed).

Cafe Enjoy is good.

horses for courses.

I find the pricing quite reasonable – gus’ isn’t really that local to Gunghalin rezzies – if I wanted a huge cheap meal I would not leave home.

Horses for courses – Goromon park is good too – and Café Enjoy – all this side…

Essen big breakfast kicks Gus’ arse LOL

cider on tap rocks, but the breakfasts are quite non-generous for the price they are charging.

i think gus’s big breakfast is the model all decent breakfasts should aspire to.

theres been minor changes inside. the piano is gone, and im glad to see theyve farted off ‘knees up mother brown’ type bands. in the past weve left when the lame bands have begun.

I wouldnt say older – most people there are mid to late 20’s and older – if thats an older crowd – then so be it. What I like is the lack of any collar up jock brigade – or people who want to punch on – so its pretty cruisey.

Good place for a quiet one – with no dickheads.

My old man plays his music there once a month or so. It’s a good venue – draws an older crowd of mainly native Canberra people.

The George rocks* – Ms Danman and I are regulars.

They have just finished changing ownership – and the new staff are as friendly as the old staff – menus have stayed true to the old george – with the addition of weekend breakfasts from 0730 which seems to be a hit. Try the handmade hashbrown stack for breakfast – and the bulmers is to die for.

Tom – I saw you were going to be there for the gig – And I was interested in coming – but – I will be in Sydney celebrating the 29th cycle Danman Seasons.

*I have no affiliation – business or personal with the George Harcourt Inn
