The Bureau of Meteorology has advised the ACTSES that the rain band that has been affecting the ACT weather over the past six days has finally moved away.

The outlook for the remainder of today and tomorrow is for fine and dry weather.

There may be some shower activity on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, this though is not expected to cause any additional flooding issues across the ACT.

The light winds that we are currently experiencing will die off around dusk this evening.

A great number of people sent in photographs from around town over the last week as this crazy weather system has belted the city. Above is one Basketcase sent in of Ginninderra Creek. Below is the full slideshow.

If you’ve got one there’s still time to send it in to images@the-riotact.com .

A brilliant collection. Not a lot of doubt about the decision to can Corinbank then…

Awesome pics of Googong (love your work Marty) and some nice ones of Cotter by Androo.

Now we await the winds of Autumn.

We’re getting some on Wednesday, albeit from the wrong direction (SE rather than the more autumnal NW).

Am feeling very sad about Coppins crossing, it is my daily commute road, I was hoping it may be open in not too long, doesn’t look positive though. ACT gov: it may be worth thinking about raising the bridge a bit now, and maybe improving the road to act as another north south road for Wright etc.

Good job with the pics whoever went down, I was thinking about walking down to look but both ends of the road where shut yesterday, i wasn’t sure what i’d find (and how much trouble i’d get into…).

Damn, they’d only recently managed to fix up the Coppins Crossing mess from the 2010 floods – looks like the new railings have been washed away now, and they’ll have to do it all again.

Yup. Not sure if there are as mangled as last time, because they are still under big piles of wood (and tennis balls).

Great pics Aquila…

Now we await the winds of Autumn.

I’d be sending out multiple doves before I made any promises…

That’s a great album, thanks for uploading.

Respect to the bloke that set up an armchair and case of colds to watch the water rise, jealous i didn’t think of it myself.
