“an experienced armed robber, albeit not a successful one”. Michael Tresize returns to prison

By johnboy - 17 October 2012 19

Another sad wasted life before the Supreme Court where Acting Justice Neild has sentenced Michael Tresize a man of vast previous convictions for bank robbery and assault.

I am unable to say that the offender is unlikely to reoffend. His criminal past does not instil confidence in me that he is motivated to live a crime-free life. Frankly, I think that his future will be much the same as his past.

And yet come 2019 he’s eligible for parole.

What’s Your opinion?

Lookout that Smithers clown has reared his ugly head and sprouted more rubbish.

So one can excuse his behaviour due to his sexual abuse?

As for my comment that some should never be allowed to have children, clearly that could only occur under a regime such as the Kim dynasty. My comment stems from my personal experiences being subjected to and having witnessed atrocious behaviour by low-life or as the ‘lowly evolved’ as i call them. The simple reality (so that even you might understand) is that the more offspring they produce the greater the likelihood that there will be more of them engaging in anti-social behaviour and yes i have seen that with a number of families.Consider for a moment the drug addicts and their drug addicted offspring who didn’t choose to be addicts and the long term effects to their health.

An undisciplined and thoughtless human who considers not the consequences of their actions is a burden on humanity that i find intolerable.(Not unlike yourself :))

According to the pre sentence report he was sexually and physically abused by his mother and sexually abused by his sisters. While this in no way excuses him for his criminal behaviour it does add weight to my belief that there are some individuals who should never be allowed to have children!

That is an obvious value judgement that comes across like you don’t really care about victims of serious crime, just as long as they don’t have a criminal record. I hope I am wrong. Sexual abuse of anyone is to be abhorred indiscriminately. DUB theres is something so very, very wrong with what you have just said , not to mention as dumb as dumb gets. If you believe that is how the law works in Australia then you can be sure you would get life for your stupidity anyway.

Imagine the outcry if we started to target the bogans and low life? You can’t do that they’re human too!

Any alleged human-ness is irrelevant to the question of why we let them breed whilst on welfare.

They can’t be stolen if they aren’t born.

Payment of welfare should be conditional on being able to show that contraception is in place.

And instead of a “Baby Bonus”, there should be MUCH better tax incentives for having children, thus encouraging the rich to have more children.

Current policies discourage the rich and well educated from having children and encourage the poorest and dumbest to have more children, to the detriment of future generations.

Note taken , if I ever decide to commit serious crime, these are the lines I will be using to get milder sentence.

If he is eligible for parole in 2019, it sounds like he actually got a pretty hard sentence (by ACT standards)….

If there’s one thing the law is good for, it’s a bit of dry humour.

Who can forget
torpid languor of one hand washes the drowsy procrastination of the other

This one’s pretty good:

(30) The offender is more than a typical armed robber. In view of his criminal record, as to which see paragraph 14, he is an experienced armed robber, albeit not a successful one.

DUB 12:01 pm 17 Oct 12

“The offender’s upbringing was unstable, dysfunctional and marked by physical and sexual abuse.”
Note taken , if I ever decide to commit serious crime, these are the lines I will be using to get milder sentence.
