Gobsmacked that the Statto (Statesman’s Hotel) even entered..

Yes, considering hotel accom categories were ‘Delux’, ‘Superior’, ‘First class’ and ‘Mid-range’ (with the Statesmen winning Mid-range) I wondered what were the three categories below them – and what places one those! I’m guessing a suite in AMC would be somewhere near the bottom? Though, it’s quite similar to the Mid-range Statesman for quality! Hahahaha!

In actuality, i’m guessing their defn of ‘Mid-range’ really means ‘Worst’, much like ‘Regular’ fries are really ‘Small’! 🙂

Gobsmacked that the Statto (Statesman’s Hotel) even entered..

I wouldn’t mind a few extra categories:

– Best BYO/Cakeage charges
– Most out-of-date wine list
– Best Value Happy Hour
– Highest Wine Mark-up
– Most Run-down venue
– Most Robbed Club (Weston Club the favourite)
– Slackest Bar-staff
– Worst Toilets

+1 for Pistachio, I ate there a couple of months ago on a friend’s recommendation and found it very good.

I’ve been to Pistachio Dining a couple of times now and can only speak well of them. I recall also that they got a fairly favourable review in the Canberra Times’ Wednesday supplement a few months back and that this is by no means their first award. Congrats to the team there, particularly Jemma for winning the Apprentice Chef award.

Some of these award winners are ridiculous choices best wine list harcourt inn ! They have been rigged for years, those in favor with aha always win. Some are deserving sage kremlin transit however pistachio in torrens please a local favourite of the judging panel or fanner.

The harcourt beating mezzalira was certainly an eyebrow raiser.

That’s a pretty solid and hard to argue with list.

Pistachio in Torrens looks like something to check out.
