Chief Minister Gallagher has announced that her chief mandarin has hung up his ruby pinned hat and will head off to the glories of the NSW Public Service:
Chief Minister Katy Gallagher has today congratulated Director-General of Chief Minister and Treasury Directorate Andrew Cappie-Wood on his new appointment as Director General of the NSW Attorney-General and Justice Department.
Mr Cappie-Wood was appointed as head of Chief Ministers Department in 2007 serving in that role until 2011 when he was appointed as the Head of Service and Director-General of the Chief Minister and Treasury Directorate, implementing the new ACT public service structure.
“I wish Mr Cappie-Wood all the best in his new role. He has served the ACT community very well over the past 6 years as the consummate public service leader. His loyalty and dedication to delivering high quality and responsive public services to the people of the ACT is well known across Canberra,” the Chief Minister said.
“I would particularly like to acknowledge the work he has overseen implementing the one government structure along with new initiatives to ensure the efficient administration of the ACT public service.
Is that the last pin of the Stanhopian power structure gone?
An interim replacement and recruitment plan are all still to be announced.
