Another bunch of spite filled nutters to watch for as Rise Up Australia gets local

For those who are recent arrivals we’ve butted heads with Catch The Fire Ministries before.

In general they hate large swathes of the Canberra community but are so little regarded in these parts they need to bus their crazies in from the trailer parks of backwoods Victoria to fill out their protests.

Skidbladnir, once again demonstrating he needs to get out more, keeps a gimlet eye on their website and has alerted me to their Rise Up Australia story:

We praise and thank God for a wonderful weekend of Holy Spirit ministry in Canberra, as Pr Daniel ministered at three revival meetings in two different churches on Sunday the 5th and also shared the vision of Rise Up Australia Party on Sat 4th August.

At the Rise Up Australia Party meeting, Pr Daniel also the National President of RUA Party, shared the vision God gave him for Australia, and how Rise Up Australia Party will play a big role in it. As the people heard of the RUA Party slogan “Keep Australia Australian”, there was spontaneous clapping and great excitement amongst those who had come to the meeting!

As the RUA Party policies and principles were read out, people shouted and cheered with much excitment. The meeting was also attended by the NSW State President Peter Madden. He too briefly shared why RUA Party will make a difference in Australia. The people were just absolutely thrilled to hear that RUA Party will be contesting the 2013 Federal Election.

Over the weekend many people signed up and took membership with the political party. Also a RUA Party State Team was set up to lead operations in ACT. Most amazingly, almost in every single state and at the first National Executive meeting, 12 members formed the executive. This was unplanned and very much to the surprise of those present. It has happened right across the country! We give thanks to the Lord that 12 is the number for ‘God’s Government’ in the Word of God. We believe that this is really supernatural as it is God’s governmental authority!

Visit riseupaustraliaparty.com for more info on Rise Up Australia Party.

Take the leaflet but you probably don’t want to get on their email list.

Sorry, I didn’t realise “Multiculturalism” was a leftie buzzword. At first I just thought it was a word, then when you and others started buzzing it to death, I assumed it was a rightie buzzword.

There are two problems with this argument we are having.
[1] Poorly defined terms; and
[2] You.

He came here and wants everyone to change to his way of seeing the world. No different from those proposing sharia law.

…except he’s from Sri Lanka, so he’s not entitled to his opinion. Right?

Nah mate. It’s the muzzies what can’t have their opinions and stuff. Because of Sharia law and they hate women and the reformation … oh yeah, and they started the crusades too.

Your diversion is a sign of you not having any argument.

Perhaps you can remind me of the historical order in which the following two occurred:
– Islamic invasion of Palestine/Syria
– European counter-invasion of Palestine/Syria

(Hint: I put a slight clue in there for you)

He does that a lot. He never has anything intelligent to contribute. Never even a semi-though-out argument.

If religion is part of culture (which it is) and if we live in a multi-faith nation (which we do) then it most certainly is an example of multiculturalism.

I *really* don’t think the leftie buzzword “Multiculturalism” was coined to describe right-wing ultra-conservative christian fruitloops, and I think you know that.

The British and German governments have both decreed Multiculturalism a failure. The French never took it on in the first place. The Danes have taken a chainsaw to their immigration policies.

What is our ALP waiting for?

So, OK, they’ve surrendered on the illegal immigration issue, despite all the nice shiny new ALP voters *that* was delivering (who cares if a few drown on their way here?), but they’re still carrying on as if “Multiculturalism” has legs. It doesn’t. It’s dead and buried.

But, seriously, until Corbell gets his bill up, it’s still legal to ridicule loons like Nalliah, Fred Nile and so on, and ultimately they are all a joke nobody takes seriously.

If you are genuinely concerned about “Spite-filled nutters” who *do* affect us and *should* be taken seriously, perhaps you can read Greg Sheridan’s very clear thoughts on the matter:

He is a hypocrite for denigrating people for living according to their religious principles and wanting those principles to shape society (not conforming, but wanting society to change to suit themselves) – while he is doing exactly the same thing himself.

Rubbish.
He’s immigrated here, given up his beliefs in 8-armed elephant gods with monkey-heads and embraced local culture. (Embraced it a bit too much, perhaps).
And he reckons multiculturalism is a failure, in line with most current Europeans governments’ thinking.

The “hypocrite” tag appears to be nothing more than a racist slur on the part of somebody fighting a desperate rearguard defence of Multiculuralism.

But he hasn’t embraced local culture. He wants to radically alter local culture.

The guy comes across as a hypocrite IMO. He has an opinion and good luck to him. I doubt many will share it except the very conservative.

Line at a time

The luntaic pastor, Daniel Nalliah,

Read the poem on the front page of their website. (Or this link for the whole thing: http://riseupaustraliaparty.com/?p=536) It is of the ‘pass the bucket’ school of poetry. An extract for your enjoyment:

“When the name of RM Williams is a yuppie clothing brand

Not a product of our heritage that grew off the land

When offering a hand makes people think you’ll amputate

And two dogs meeting in the street is what you call a ‘Mate’

When ‘Political Correctness’ has replaced all common sense

When you’re forced to see it their way, there’s no sitting on the fence”

We should have a contest to write our own in that style, but I’m afraid mine might be too angry.
I have no idea what the ‘amputate’ bit is about, but I wish someone would amputate the hand that wrote this.

The website is hilarious…

These poinbts basically say you have the right to religious freedom, except everything will be about Jews and Christians.
4. Reaffirm our Constitutional right to freedom of religion.
5. Recognise and affirm our Judeo-Christian heritage.
6. No religion or religious practices are to be forced upon another person.
7. Faith-based schools are to have the right to employ people of their choice.
8. Schools to have faith-based chaplains.
9. School curriculums to include the teaching of the history of Western civilization and our Judeo-Christian heritage.

Then we get to the anti-gay line…
11. Protect the traditional family unit – father, mother, and children.

Which is reiterated in case you didn’t understand point 11…. plus we’ll ignore the fact that a mother and father does not necessarily equal good role models.
13. Protect children from homosexuality as it creates health problems. Promote children’s rights – children have the right to have both male and female role models as parents (father and mother).

The compulsory anit-abortion line….
14. We wish to make abortion history by providing those social conditions that support women in their lives so they are not forced into situations where they feel there is no option but to have an abortion.

I think their definition of multiculturalism is every thing is ok unless its islamic
15. Protect Australia from multiculturalism. People who live in Australia should become Australian – we are multi-ethnic, not multi-cultural. We do not advocate homogenising – immigrants are free to celebrate their own backgrounds, but must respect the Australian culture. We are opposed to a dual legal system, i.e. we oppose introduction of Sharia law in Australia. We will educate people about the implications of radical Islamic teaching. We advocate no Centrelink benefits for polygamists.

Immigration status? Nothing.

The fact that he is from another “culture” (Sri-Lankan), who then came to Australia, where he is now firmly of another culture different from the majority of Australians (evangelical nutsack). means he should be either pro-multiculturalism, assimilating to the local culture, or leaving (or simply shut up).

Others, of course, have different ideas and are offering their own input. For example: unaccompanied, unveiled women are “like cat meat” according to a different mob of nutters.

It turns out our politicians are currently trying to implement legislation to protect some of the nutters from having their delusional ideas discussed in terms that might hurt their feelings.

It goes without saying that this will tilt yet more people towards voting for Tony Abbott at the next available opportunity.
