Another unconvincing win for the Fumblies - but they do keep winning

A 30-23 win over the highly fancied Chiefs should be cause for celebration in Brumbieland.

And yet, and yet, they just look so… Fragile.

The Saffers at Keo are bemused.

Oh yes, and Julian Huxley. Applause.

Agreed – very unconvincing effort from the Brumbies. One can’t help but reflect on Brumbies teams of old, who would have piled on a cricket score against the Chiefs …

… a win is a win, but as has been lamented so many times, the lack of bonus points will come back tohaunt the Brumbies at the pointy end of the season.

Definitely good to highlight Hux’s return – was there anyone at the ground on Friday night who would not have had a tear in their eye as he came off the bench to a standing ovation?

I think Giteau’s three from three for kicking the ball out on the full at the restart at least once in each of the home games this year.

Good comeback from Huxley. The Chiefs were savage in defence, but I think the Brumbies made the Chiefs defence look better than it was. Unconvincing is probably the word, but there are signs that they haven’t forgotten how to play good rugby. That second half was both thrilling and frustrating in equal measure.

I hear All Bar Nun are getting an allocation of the new Little Creatures Single Batch IPA, might be interesting for the podcast if it hasn’t already been recorded (and if they haven’t already sold out).
