Former Canberran Anthony Capon Anthony Caponis one of the twelve Project Runway Australia finalists. Before he moved to Melbourne, he lived on the Northside and completed his fashion studies at CIT.

I remember going to school with him at St Francis Xavier College in Florey. I hope that he does well, he is very talented. He graduated from CIT top of his class.

Anthony is a very talented designer. I was hooked on the entire series and always enjoyed seeing what he would come up with next. I think he is also an Irish Dancing champion – what a talented little bunny he is.

That is fantastic news!! I had watched a few episodes but missed most of them. I really enjoyed what I saw though – it would be nice if he were still affiliated moreso with Canberra but I guess fashion here isn’t what it’s like in Melbourne!

Thanks for keeping us updated, OzChick 🙂

The finale was on last night. Anthony won the series!!

OzChick, would you know whether Anthony has a mother who is a teacher and into all sorts of textile-y things? I had a Ms Capon teach me at Daramalan and I vaguely recall that her son was into design.

Either way I’ll be cheering For Anthony – yay for local talent!

Mrs Capon, textiles teacher from Daramalan is Anthonys adopted mother. Anthony also participated in the Daramalan fashion show for a number of years.

Ahh – thanks, couldn’t look into it @ work. Small world indeed!

^ His profile states that his mother is a lecturer in fashion design. So that could be her, I cannot confirm.
