ANU Group fitness classes

Hi,

I’m new to ACT and thinking about joining the ANU gym. I am more interested in the group fitness classes than using the equipment itself…(i found other posts about the gym itself not the classes.)

Please give me some reviews on the instructors for droup fitness at ANU…

I am planning to do all lesmills – body combat, body balance , body balance and body pump….

Yoga and pilates as well….(I will alternate between these…)

Are the instructors good? classes too crowded?

Currently i follow Zumba, bodybalance and circuit in melbourne…..

I was a member for 2 years until recently. During term classes can be very crowded at lunch and 5.30, but 6.30 was usually quiet. They don’t have the whole works of Les Mills classes that others have, I was disappointed there was no Body Attack. And the weekends are very quiet. Most of the instructors are great, a few not so much, but you get that everywhere. Otherwise it’s easy and cheap.

i can thoroughly recommend the ‘posture and flexibility’ classes – get in early to sign up and get along – better than yoga (i have done both – including being a yoga demonstrator), and they have ‘strength and flex’ classes, too, for when you have the feel for their techniques. most excellent…

I’ve only done bodypump, I can’t remember the instructors name but I like the classes. Classes are quieter later in semster/during breaks, and crazy busy at the start of semesters.

They don’t have timetabled yoga and pilates classes? hey need to be signed up for separtely. Oh except “taigalates” or whatever it is.
