ANU significantly upgrading their signage

anu signage

It used to be you had to look pretty hard to find evidence you’d entered the ANU campus.

It’s nice to think the signage could be discrete because the achievements of those within spoke so loudly for themselves.

But times change, and the new Exchange building on Barry Drive sports a sign no one will ever think discreet (although it’s by no means garish).

They got the sign wrong. It should be UEB – University of East Bumcrack.

Why don’t they put up a giant inflatable yellow sign? That would be tasteful. I’m sure there’s a precedent for doing that, somewhere around the place …

Bush week reminded me of Harry Butler for some reason wonder what happened to the old bloke.

Unis are a business not a school these days. Businesses gotta advertise.

There’s a similar sign around the corner looking down Barry Drive, just waiting for some child to add a big S at the end. *tee hee*

Lol wow I hadn’t even thought of that. Good one haha. That would take a big effort on that sign though haha. I’m surprised i’ve never seen that on any signs ever now that you mention that.

If you hang around their sporting teams, you’ll see (and hear) it, often.

Discreet. The word you’re looking for is “discreet”. Discrete means separate from/separated.
