ANU’s quest to conquer the polycosmos is proceeding well and receiving international recognition:

Professor Peter Gill from the Research School of Chemistry has been awarded the 2011 Schroedinger Medal of the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC).

The prize recognises Professor Gill’s outstanding contributions to both quantum and computational chemistry.

More information about Professor Gill’s research is available online.

I wonder what Dr Norman Abjorensen thinks about this ?

a) The cat was poorly cooked and served (better to eat the box)
b) The cat should be sent to the RSPCA (discount this week)
c) The award should have been mine
d) All of the above

So Erwin Schrodinger takes his cat to the vet, as for the last week it hasn’t stopped ruining his experiments with its non-stop coughing.
The vet takes one look at it, then immediately pushes Schrodinger out of the room saying “I’ll have to operate.”
After some time passes, the vet comes out of surgery and Schrodinger asks her, “So, is it alive or dead?”
The vet replies,”I don’t know how to tell you this, but your cat’s going home in a box”.

Doh! I was thinking of Pavlovs dog!

I can see the award ceremony now, and the 2011 Schroedinger Medal of the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists goes to Professor Gill!

I said: The award goes to Professor Gill!

Professor Gill? Are you here?

Professor Gill !?!

Professor Gill, stop drooling and come up here and collect your award.

The absent-minded professor put his award in a box…

Are you sure?

Does the award include Schroedingers cat (either dead or alive)?
