There’s a funky looking new cinema coming to Screensound/NFSA next week called Arc. (Not before time I might add, that old screening room wasn’t built for comfort)

There’s a listing of upcoming films for the next few months on the site – screenings appear to be mainly Thursdays and Saturdays – tix are under $10 and quite a few highlights in the list – The Godfather, the Three Colours trilogy, Starship Troopers, Cherry 2000 and much more.

Hooray.

Technicially, Blade Runner is not a “cyborg” film because replicants are entirely biological (genetically engineered), however I’m just being picky. d:p

I would add “Ghost in the Shell” to the list of great cyborg films. Never seen Cherry 2000, might just have to check it out as well.

I think I’ve only ever seen parts of it on late night telly but that’s still a big call if you include Blade Runner and The Terminator. I look forward to checking it out.

Cherry 2000 is probably the best cyborg film ever made.
