Are we invading ?

So, are we invading someone ? There have been quite a few very loud, very fast, jets (and not the pretty fly-me-somewhere type) taking off from the airport today.

Fast enough that by the time they’ve spun up, run down the runway and are into the air, we can barely see them, and it’s not a very far walk to the window.

Anyone know anything ?

Were the engines going when Brendan stood in front of them?

Thunper it was a Hawk.

There was an F-111 and a F/A-18 flown down to Canberra for the Super Hornet purchase media announcement.

I saw Brendan standing in front of them on the ABC news last night.

… and after the dam, it’s on to Guantanamo.

Boys… we’re taking the dam back…

one of my colleagues mentioned it may have to do with grads at one of those pretty-suit colleges in duntroon ?

Comrade, it’s the old story. Take the weapons from the Amerikan Imperialist then turn against him.

Why are we not buying Migs?

Heaps of Helicopters over Hackett too. I was on the phone and I had to keep telling people to repeat themselves.

Maybe we are being ‘liberated’ from Chairman Stanhopes reign of terror?

I believe that there are a number of Hawk trainers out at Fairbarn at the moment.

The other possibility is that Chairman Stanhope has launched an all out invasion of NSW to expand his earthly domain and find land for new housing estates.

Groan, Ari. That’s the worst dad joke I’ve heard in yonks.

I wish they’d let me fly very loud very fast jets though.

SuperHornets.

I guess that means they’re going to March in April.

What the military generally do in March is practice what they are going to do in April.

April 25th to be exact.

But that’s just my theory too…

Could it be related to the announcement we’re buying SuperHornets?
