Are you a cockroach or a cane toad?

The State of Origin is on again tonight and with the ACT not included, I was wondering who you go for and why?

Personally, I was born in NSW so I go for the blues, whereas Mr GnT goes for Queensland where his father was born. Of course, our kids also go for NSW ;-).

Or do you just ignore the whole circus?

Yes, and my father-in-law won’t let me forget it!

Er….they’ve lost the series already, haven’t they?

Born in Sydney but been here since I was 4. Go the Blues!

yes, that NSW (esp sydney) ego thing is painful. Go Qld!

being from a non-league state (so not from qld or nsw) – but a recent watcher of league – i go for qld because if there’s one thing i have grown to hate from living in ACT and that is the NSW ego. my teeth are almost ground down to stumps from viewing ten’s AFL ads about ‘our swans’ – we don’t all go for the bloody swans at all! far from it!

Born and raised in NSW – thats why I go for them 🙂

What sport?

Just a reminder to all – Canberra, which is within the Australian Capital Territory, is not part of NSW – it’s in the constitution. Therefore as a Canberra resident you do not have to support NSW – more so you should NOT support NSW. Also NSW SOO team reminds me too much of the Waratah s14 team, so that’s another reason to hate them.

Born and bred in Canberra. Go for the Blues because it’s closer… and back in the day Daley and Stuart et al played for the Blues.

As a recently transplanted Queenslander, I have to say that Canberra’s apathy towards all things State of Origin is one of its features.

Go the Blues!

Mostly I ignore it. If anything, I’d support Qld..just ’cause of my dislike of anything associated with Rugby (even if it is just league) coming from Sydney.
