Are you missing a cat?

My partner and I found a very sick, very small cat near our place in Reid on Friday evening (5 Jan). She’s a light-and-dark brown, domestic medium/long-haired cat, and our vet reckons she’s not much more than a year old. She had pretty bad ‘cat flu’ and was looking very unwell, so our vet will be looking after her for a week or so — but after that, we’d really love to be able to reunite her with her owners.

Is anyone one cat short? If not, could you ask around and see if anyone’s lost their cat recently? Please send any info you might have to lostcat@electrictelegraph.com. Many thanks!

Well I hope kitty finds a nice home then… and doesnt end up on the weekly (or fortnightly)injection rounds 🙁

I just spoke to our vet who says she’s recovered fully from the flu. They took her to the RSPCA in Weston; a colleague is going down there today as she thinks it might be her cat.

As she didn’t have a tag or a microchip (bad!), she’ll be put up for adoption by the RSPCA.

DavidM, What will you do with kitty if you cant reunite her with her owner/s?

Thumper, I agree with you — our cat is indoors (+ high balcony) all the time. Not sure what he’d do with a whistle, though…

Fatten the little creature up – they make a great satay.

Yeah, there’s no way this little cat was hunting anything. She was lying in the dirt with flies buzzing around it when we found her.

I think it’s really nice what David’s done for this cat. Hopefully he successfully reunites it with it’s owners. 🙂

I think if it had the flu, then the last thing it’d be doing was hunting native fauna.

Are you missing a cat?

Yes, but my aim has always been shocking

do us all a favour and have it put down.

feral thing was probably hunting native fauna.
