We’re waiting for a statement from Police but this in from a witness to a robbery this afternoon at the Kingston Post Office:
was waiting in line at the post office, crazy guy with a stocking over his head comes in waving a butchers knife at the cashiers and makes them give him all the money, then he leaves.

Officers at the scene, and witness interviews underway. Appears it was two male offenders, and a knife used to threaten staff.
UPDATE: This account in from a witness who was waiting for his girlfriend outside the post office:
S***box purple Hyundai Excel pulls up in the loading dock driveway on Jardine St to let a tall, lanky white male out. (can’t really say whether he was caucasian or asian because every part of his body was covered except his hands. had white hands) long pants, long-sleeved jumper on, stocking over his head.
He races into the store, I call 000 and get out of the car to try and get a better look at the car rego.
ACT rego, but then proceeded to drive around the back of the building before I could get a good look.
Then heard a ‘bang’ – worried it was a handgun but then my girlfriend came out to say that it was all over, so I guess it must have been the back door.
The car never came up Giles St again so I reckon they drove round through the loading dock from Jardine through to Giles, then headed south onto Wentworth Ave to make their getaway.
He got out of the car with a green re-useable shopping bag to put his loot in.
