A 32-year-old Wanniassa man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with burglary and theft.

The 32-year-old was arrested yesterday (Wednesday, May 1) by police in Dickson following an investigation into his criminal activities.

Following his arrest members from ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations Crime Targeting Team executed four search warrants on a number of homes.

Police seized drugs and stolen property which included firearms, ammunition and parts of firearms taken from a burglary in April.

The arrest and execution of the warrants was a collaborative effort involving members from Criminal Investigations, Woden Police Station and ACT Intelligence.

Police will be opposing bail.

What is the difference between burglary, theft, and robbery?

Great work, coppers.

You seem to be making a habit of this recently. Keep it up!

ACT Intelligence? The mind boggles!

If you want to critique the stupidity of one aspect of the law, start knocking the sense of the magistrates who let these oxygen thieves out on suspended sentences and good behaviour bonds, not the cops who try to protect the rest of us.

Actually i’ve never heard of an authority known as ACT Intelligence hence the question mark.As for being critical of both the bureaucracy and judiciary perhaps you ought to look back at some of my articles and posts re that very issue.I have made my position very clear ie. the system is broke and needs fixing big time!
