Ask RiotACT: Mexican food catering for event

Hey Rioters.

Can anyone recommend a good caterer who could provide a Mexican-themed buffet for a 60-person event I am organising? I have tried the usual Mexican outlets (GYG, Zambreros, Mad Mex) and they tend to only serve items from their menu, whereas I was after dishes and pieces where people can assemble their own meal. Perhaps a commercial caterer you know who can do Mexican themed food?

I’d suggest contacting the Embassy of Mexico here in Canberra. I attended an event organised by the Embassy recent that had amazing Mexican food! They should be able to let Wyatt know who they used.

Hi Wyatt. I have used Rocio before who has catered for several events for me in the past. Her food is delicious, and very authentic Mexican food. She is very well known in the Mexican community and does food stalls around town for events/festivals. I’d recommend giving her a call – 0466 241 836.
