I’ve recently been informally advised about a potential legal situation – a civil suit that may/may not eventuate. The possibility of anything formally proceeding is somewhat remote, however I’m seeking legal advice to properly confirm this. I have never had to formally engage a solicitor before (not even for conveyancing), nor have I had any previous experience with a civil suit (or the ACT justice system at all). As such; I’m at a loss who in Canberra may be an appropriate contact.
My hope is that someone can point me to a firm who has some experience with civil suits, that is ok with a simple “question and answer” and will understand that the entire premise of this engagement is on a “just in case” basis.
Anywhere recommendations around the inner south (Woden/Weston Creek) area is ideal, but no problems if a car trip is required.
