Hi guys, I wanted a few opinions. My elderly neighbours have been collecting (I use this term loosely) wasps for some years now. They are paper wasps and not the European ones, thank goodness.
We have talked to them about it and even offered to remove the nests for them (at our expense if need be). But they have refused, saying they will take care of it. Well, that was over five years ago. We keep mentioning it now and again when its gotten bad with them flying around our property in spring and annoying us and setting up nests on our roof. We have small kids and pets, and I know one day they are going to get stung when we are not supervising them and have to take a trip to A&E.
My question, should we go “stuff ’em” and go over there when the old folks are out, and remove as many nests as we can? ACTPLA won’t do nothing as its on private property and thus the responsibility of the property owner to remove them.
