ARN has a piece on the ship builder Austal buying up the Canberra based Australian Technology Information (ATI).

ATI provides specialised services to Australian Defence Forces such as systems engineering and integration, IT, verification and validation systems and deployable tactical command centres.

It was established in 1990 and has two offices, one in Canberra and Sydney.

It has developed an expertise in military tactical data links, GPS, self-replicating digital communications, forward-looking infrared, general electronics, military and civil command and control, and 3D visualisation.

Austal are hoping the acquisition will enhance their position as a prime contractor.
