Lifeline Canberra plans to establish the nation’s first suicide safe-house in Canberra if they’re are able to raise $1 million by the end of the year.
The organisation is lobbying dozens of business and philanthropists to raise funds to establish the purpose-built safe-house.
Iconic rocker Angry Anderson will be ambassador for the campaign, knocking on the doors of around 100 companies to ask for a $10,000 cheque.
Lifeline CEO Mike Zissler says the safe-house would offer a non-clinical alternative for those in crisis.
