A trip to the Tuggers dog park this evening left me with a broken passenger window courtesy of three upstanding young gentleman and their trusty hammer. While they successfully made off with my CD case full of many amateurishly burned CD’s, they oddly didn’t grab the lighter, valuable objects as I came sprinting after them, interrupting their good time. I know I know, how rude of me to interrupt.
Remembering lessons learned from watching years of cheesy American TV police dramas that taught me the important lesson of what part of the car to look at when later identifying it to the authorities, I memorised the rego and phoned it in to ACT’s finest. Fortunately the rego matched the vehicle description that I gave them. Unfortunately, the car was reported stolen this evening. It’s probably currently on fire somewhere out in Quangers.
Which brings me to my dilemma. Any recommendations for reliable, affordable auto glass replacement in the area given it’s also the easiest week of the year to find automotive repairs? My car is an ’07 Honda Jazz, if that matters to potential advisors. I say affordable as the car with the broken window is a new addition to the family and I’d only obtained insurance quotes on it a few days ago, but hadn’t actually settled on an insurer. Serendipitous, isn’t it?
