Profits from the forthcoming Autumn Equinox Festival will benefit the Red Cross Bush Fire Appeal. The Festival will be held on Saturday March 21st in the gardens at historic Ginninderra Village, O’Hanlon Place, Gold Creek (Nicholls.)

The festival will not only celebrate the Autumn Equinox but also provide a great day out for people of all ages with a host of Canberrans donating their time and effort. The day will include drumming, dancing, music, tarot readings, workshops and an eclectic market.

The Festival is free of charge to the public, and collection tins will be scattered throughout the Festival grounds and at all market stalls, performances and workshops. People are encouraged to donate as much as they can afford.

Performers confirmed so far:
Garden of Earthly Delights – traditional music and dance
Spellbound Bellydance troupe

The Ancient Arts Fellowship
The Society for Creative Anarchronism (medieval re-enactment)
Community Drumming Group
Indian Tabla, Morris Dancing and more…

Workshops include beading, incense-making and Walking the Labyrinth.

Market stalls include Avalon Essences, hand-made jewellery and woodworks, glass art, Celtic crafts, pet clothes, crystals, face painting and multicultural crafts. Stallholders are welcome – there’s lots of space – but bookings are essential
