ACT Fire Brigade this morning has attended a residential house in Ngunnawal to release an eight month old baby girl from a treadmill.

The baby had caught her leg in the frame of the unit which was not operational at the time.

Firefighters worked for approx 20 minutes pulling the treadmill apart to free the baby.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics also attended, assessed the patient who was distressed but not harmed.
