Back to stage 2

The ABC reports that Stage 2 water restrictions seem inevitable for November.

Once again the Government wants to micro-manage the conduct of your garden but remains happy to sell the water for .2c a litre (yes that’s one fifth of a cent) at the top rate.

Oh and another advertising campaign on “our most precious resource that’s worth bugger all” no doubt.

I wash my car on my front lawn, so all the run off waters the lawn for that week.

There’s no incentive to use less water. My water and sewage supply bill is approximately $140 per quarter and I use about $15 worth of water on top of that, where’s the incentive to save water?
I’m sick of my garden looking like a desert and I rarely wash my car, that’s going to change this summer as it will only cost me a few dollars more.
Ideally the cost of supply would be far less and cost per litre should be much greater resulting in an incentive to save money and water.

Ahhh, but the advertising companies love the income.

Didn’t someonee on here say that Garden watering only accounted for 3% of your household water usage?

Whu said that? From where did you say it?

Thanks.
