Bad bingle in Fyshwick

A 60-year-old Queanbeyan man is in a critical condition in hospital following a single vehicle collision in Fyshwick this morning (Wednesday, April 13).

Around 7.50am, police attended the intersection of Newcastle Street and Wollongong Street, where a white Toyota van had collided with a sign at the Shell service station.

The man was taken to The Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

ACT Policing’s Collision, Investigation and Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the cause of the collision.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision in Fyshwick early this morning and is yet to speak to police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
