Fire has been knocked down? Interesting terminology.

It is a standard term for when you have “knocked down” the flames, essentially stopping the fire, but have not put out all the glowing stuff, ventilated, secured, investigated and all the other stuff.

Pretty weird that such terminology would make it to a media release though.

Thanks. I’d never heard that terminology before. Sounded strange when I first read it.

“Handed over to ACT Policing” would imply a suspicious cause to the fire. It isn’t handed over to the cops unless there is suspicion warranting further investigation.

Banks… apartment.. .wtf? WHY would anyone build an apartment block in Banks? Aren’t apartments for inner city areas?

So they can make a lot of money selling them due to the chronic housing shortage?

But perhaps I’m just cynical.

It’s a townhouse complex
