Basketball Backboard

Rather ironically my “lifetime” freestanding basketball system’s backboard has broken ie the perspex sheet. To be fair the thing is about ten years old so was bound to happen at some point.

I have contacted the company but while the part is worth $50 the postage is over $500! Also had no success looking on eBay and local shops. Does anyone know of where I could get “lifetime” parts in Australia or even better know someone handy enough to fix the backboard?

Many thanks

The part in question is not interchangeable with the ones on sale?
My guess is that the back board is not made of Perspex as this material is not all that impact resistant in flat sheet form.
I reckon it’s polycarbonate sheet which is available cut to size from those that sell it.

No, was maybe $300 at the time, pretty decent system and will be a shame to throw it away

Is this the same Lifetime basketball system that is on special at Big W for $78?
