100 extras are needed this Saturday the 2nd of May at the National Museum of Australia from 1pm until 3pm.
The scene is the opening to the 90 minute film ‘The Competition’. We are creating a live studio audience for a fictional television show called ‘Band in Australia’ and you could help this Canberra made independent feature film look incredible by coming out after lunch and showing us some support.
The fictional show is much like Australian Idol so you’ll be holding up banners and cheering while a band plays (Canberra’s own Alchemist). The judges will make their decision and you’ll boo or cheer according to their judgement. It’s going to be a lot of fun so bring all your friends and family of all ages because you’ll all be on screen in the end.
If you wanted to make a banner yourself the judges names are Sebastian (grumpy judge) and Kev (ex-rocker) or ‘Jail Johnson’ (Sebastian) and ‘Airplane Plummer’ (Kev). Make something great and you might get a close up.
Where: National Museum of Australia
When: This Saturday 2nd of May, 1pm to 3pm
Why: To support a feature film made in Canberra and get in a film that will be in the cinema!
The Competition is Produced by John Frohlich and Simon Weaving with the support of The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT).
