ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Reid yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, September 27).
About 5.25pm a woman was walking through the Bega Flats when she was approached by two men. One of the men hit her on the back of her head causing her to fall to her knees. She was then struck again in the chest.
The offenders demanded the woman hand over her belongings. They attempted to take her bag but were unable as she had it over her head.
The first offender is described as aged in his 20s between 170cm (5’7”) and 180cm (5’11”) tall, wearing jeans, a red jumper, a black beanie and black gloves.
The second offender is also described as aged in his 20s between 170cm (5’7”) and 180cm (5’11”) tall wearing jeans, a blue jumper, a black beanie and black gloves.
The men had a medium sized short haired black and white dog with them.
ACT Policing urge anyone who may have been in the Reid area around 5.25pm and saw two men matching the above descriptions to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
